Built on Canton and Noders

What each platform does for Owarine today: the Canton ledger, and the Noders DevNet node and hackathon.

Owarine is built on two platforms. Each row below says what that platform does for the product and where the recorded evidence is.

PlatformWhat it does for OwarineState
Canton NetworkThe ledger. Every position is a Leg contract signed by its owner and the venue, so an unrelated seat party cannot query it. Owarine hosts its parties on one shared participant. The money rules, quotes, prints, resolution and settlement are six Daml packages written for this venue (The Daml packages).Uploaded and vetted on the Noders DevNet node
NodersNoders organises HackCanton Season 3 on its AppsFactory platform and runs the shared DevNet node (Canton 3.5.19). Parties on that node are created in the Noders Console, and the deployment records describe uploads and vetting there. The first call settled on 6 Oct; the Canton Coin round trip is recorded on 7 Oct. The sixth package adds seat exits and transfers.

Why Canton

A prediction market's positions are the information a competitor wants. On a public chain, owner, side and size are readable in the block that records them. On Canton a contract goes only to its stakeholders' nodes: a Leg has two signatories, the owner and the venue, and an outsider's ledger query comes back empty. The app says so on every position with the Who can see this chip, and Test.Privacy.testOutsiderSeesNothing proves it in Daml.

Marks and attribution

Each mark above is the file its owner's published brand kit supplies, shown unmodified: Canton and Noders. Every other source Owarine names, such as the exchanges, RedStone, Alpaca, Jupiter Price v3 and PreStocks, is named in plain text, because no brand kit or written permission for those marks is recorded.

Canton is a registered trademark of Digital Asset (Switzerland) GmbH. Digital Asset is not affiliated with, and has not sponsored or endorsed, Owarine. The Noders mark belongs to its owner.
