Open Owarine Markets. This is the hosted Canton DevNet product. Its test funds have no cash value. You can browse without an account or a seat. Before leasing, the sky-coloured Guest demo is a separate paper balance; the pink DevNet shell identifies a leased seat.
A Window fixes an asset, opening boundary and closing boundary. An Up call wins when the close is at or above the open; Down wins below it. The ticket shows the cost and fee before acceptance.
Take a seat
Choose Take a seat, then the Guest Seat option. The browser creates a device signing key and the venue leases a Canton party to it. Taking a seat does not place a trade.
Open the seat avatar to inspect and copy the party id. Look for Test funds · DevNet in the rail. Your seat explains the lease and how another device can join it.
- 1Take a guest seat from the rail.
Check the test balance
Open Portfolio. Seat funding is separate from leasing; wait for its confirmed balance before trading. The venue configures the funding amount; use the confirmed balance shown for your seat.
Use Add funds if the screen offers a DevNet funding route. Follow its stated unit and rate; demo credits and test Canton Coin are different balances. Balances covers the controls.
Choose a quoting Window
Open Trade. Choose a listed Window that is accepting quotes; a 2-minute or 5-minute Window is useful when available. Check its opening price and remaining time. A visible price chart can remain readable while trading is paused.
Review and accept
Choose Up or Down, enter an amount and request the venue's firm quote. Read the total and fee, then confirm before the offer expires. If the offer expires, request another quote and review it again.
A confirmed acceptance creates your Leg on Canton. If confirmation is delayed or uncertain, check Portfolio before retrying. A quote by itself is not a position.
Read the result
Follow the position in Portfolio. After the closing boundary, oracle prints, resolution, settlement and projection each take time. A resolved win pays the position's payout; a void refunds stake plus fee. The resulting receipt links to its proof.
See First trade for the full flow and Proof for the signed prices that decided it.
