Sessions and lanes
Tell a listed Window from a trading one, and use the right session and price source.
A lane defines an asset's schedule and price basis. The app can support a lane without the deployment currently listing or quoting it. Read the Window's state, source and countdown before placing a call.
| Lane | Schedule | What its price represents |
|---|---|---|
| Regular stocks and ETFs | The configured US exchange calendar | The source registered for that stock Window |
| Gap | A registered close-to-next-open interval across a weekend or holiday | The Window's two session boundary prints |
| Crypto | Round the clock | Exchange candle closes from the registered oracle parties |
| Tokenized stocks | Round the clock where enabled | The token's source price, not the regular stock tape |
| Pre-IPO and baskets | Round the clock where enabled | PreStocks token prices or the basket index |
| Events | The question's own deadline | Committee attestations under its event rules |
The source and contract parameters on each Window determine its result. See price sources for those boundaries. A headline, assistant read or chart tick is not a settlement input.
Follow the session
Regular US hours are normally 09:30–16:00 ET, with holidays and early closes supplied by the venue's calendar. UTC times shift with daylight saving time; use the next-open time shown by the app. A closed stock session does not stop eligible crypto or other 24/7 Windows.
Window length options come from the Series listed on this deployment. Do not assume a ticker has every cadence, or that an enabled cadence always has an enterable Window.
Listed, trading and locked
- Listed: the Window is visible before its trading start. An immediate order waits; an available pre-open call can rest at your price.
- Trading: entry also requires a usable quote and enough time before the entry cutoff.
- Locked or closed: no new entry; resolution and settlement follow their deadlines.
- Paused or no quotes: read the reason. A 24/7 schedule does not override a stale source, disabled venue or absent quote.
The roller can list Windows ahead of their boundaries. A new Window does not promise uninterrupted quoting across the transition. Status shows roller, pricer, source and resolver checks.
